2) How does your media product represent particular
social groups?
Our media film opening shot shows 3 teenage boys in a
bedroom playing fifa, they are all represented in a stereotypical way as
teenage boys who are at home are usually playing a console or on a computer.
Later on in the film when there is knock on the door my character
goes downstairs to see what it was and the way he acted is stereotypical
to how a male teenager should act in that situation, He is curious and wants to
know who it was so he goes out side to check if he can see anything, if the
character was non-stereotypical he wouldn't of gone out side to check
and would of ran back upstairs when you first see the antagonists face. After
my character has explained what he has seen and there is another knock, all the
characters again react as a stereotypical male teenager,
what I mean by this is that there aren't
any extreme reactions of fear and screams.
All the characters in our opening scene are represented as the social
group. Our film would appeal to young adults and teenagers.
